Willamette University's Sesquicentennial Rose Garden is directly in front of Eaton Hall, and across the street from the Oregon State Capitol building. There is a time capsule buried here, scheduled to be opened in 2042 as part of the University’s bicentennial celebration.
New Camera / Old Lens - One of the things I was curious to see was how well an old film lens (Minolta 50mm f/1.7) would do on a new camera (Sony A7RII). Thanks to focus peaking and in-camera image stabilization, I'm able to manually focus with a certain amount of accuracy. I know, that's a lot of geek speak, but I'm happy with the results I can get with a lens that costs less than $50 in today's market.
